Just wanted to say Hi to everyone. And thanks Hans for inviting me.

I am not necessarily young by some standards I am 42 years old. To othes I may still be thought of that way.

I can claim and people who know me will verify this. I AM young at heart of mind and generally have the energy and drive of a 20 year old.

At one time I thought all this was because I would need it, that my life was destined to end with me being 105 and keeling over at my job sweeping the parking lot of cigarette butts for McDonalds so I could finally pay off all my debts.

I recently just started my own business Presents4Pets and everything makes sense. I was given these traits to make what I believe in work.

I know I have a great idea, I have a niche and I know I can make it work. I don't expect quick success nor do I believe I will become the next Sam Walton.

I do feel I will succeed at this and make it work because I love what I do. I am only impatient in the area that it become successful enough I can devote ALL my time to making it work and not have to work at my "other" job to make ends meet until it dos take off.

All my reading, learning and trying and failing at other things has honed my abilities down to where I will make fewer mistakes and run into less dead ends.

Alot of people will say I started this the wrong way. No money, just a great idea and just a vague business plan. But things were not going o get any better for me and so I just took the plunge.

Because I did not look at this as my saving grace but as an eventual way to be a means to the end. Self-employed and wilderness guide to my own destiny.

I have one goal I wish to meet and am striving towards, and that is by the end of May 2004 I want to be working full-time at this. And it IS possible.

Sept.1st I am moving into a cheaper lease and this will free up money to be put into the business. Our new place is HUGE and we have plenty of space now for running the business, having a room for our products, and a room for creating our baskets.

We are getting a PO Box for the business and are starting up a merchant services account so we can take credit cards and checks on our website. We are also working on a new website that will have more to offer, complete pics and descripions of all our products and some new ones. Some interactive pages for people to post messages and post pics of their pets and we will begin a monthly e-zine.

We have been taking this slow, bu I feel we are just on the edge of the dam and it is about to burst. We have gotten nothing but positive feedback and after we take the final steps I lsted above, I think the dam will break and the orders will begin to come in.

Do I feel I am wishful thinking? No. I feel it not only in my bones but in my mind and by responses I have gotten from my contest. Christmas will be bringing in alot of orders and that is just the beginning...

Sorry for the long post but I couldn't help myself! :)
