Seems logical to me, when investing using the typical "long and short" buying and selling methods. But more frequernt options trading should allow you to make more money, more quickly and more safely.

Throughout time, investors have usually bought and sold at the wrong time due to their emotions of fear and greed. As a contrarian, I measure and quantify the fear and greed in the marketplace. When the fear has reached an extreme, I go long. When the greed has reached an extreme, I go short. I have backtested this theory and have implemented it into the portfolio management of my clients.
